Schwartz Bakery Was Not Able To Acquire Yoshon Flour

Update 04/04/2022

Schwartz was able to acquire and discover enough Yoshon flour for some of their items.

All donuts, cookies, croissants, and non-fancy cakes (7-layer, cupcakes, coffee, alligator, chocolate roll, brownies, etc) ARE YOSHON.

Breads and Challah (all types and sizes), and fancy (birthday) cakes ARE STILL NOT YOSHON.

Yoshon Alert

Due to supply chain issues Schwartz Bakery was not able to acquire Yoshon flour. Therefore breads (including all sizes and types of Challah, breads, rolls, bagels etc) are not certified Yoshon. Products baked on Thursday (3/30). Any breads etc. produced before Thursday (3/30) is Yoshon.

The other baked goods like cakes cookies etc. are still Yoshon this week.

What Is Yashan?
It means that the flour or the flour for used for baked goods came from wheat that took root in the ground before the previous 17th of Nissan.

From next week until Pesach all baked goods (including cakes, cookies, danishes, donuts etc) will not be certified Yoshon.
