We are excited to announce that we have relocated to 209 West 38th Street, NY, NY. We want to assure you that there was an error in the restaurant directory on OU Kosher’s website which mistakenly stated “no longer OU certified”. Rest assured, the OU certification of Mr. Broadway remains intact, and we continue to adhere to the highest standards of kashrus. We have already corrected the website, and we sincerely apologize for any confusion that this may have caused.

Our company, R.Gross Dairy Kosher, has a long history dating back to 1922
In the late ’60s, R. Gross was a flourishing dairy restaurant and bakery that occupied a significant portion of 1372 Broadway. Many of our valued customers have fond memories of visiting this iconic establishment with their fathers and grandfathers.
In 1985, the concept of the establishment changed to a full Mediterranean Glatt Kosher restaurant
named Chez Lanu, Mr. Broadway. Over time, we have added a delicatessen section and a Chinese line. Moreover, in 2000, we proudly became the first midtown kosher establishment to introduce a full Sushi menu.
In 2011, we went through a major transformation and emerged as a trusted and popular kosher dining destination in the NYC community. Unlike many other kosher restaurants that have shut down or moved, we completely renovated our dining room, including the addition of a modern and inviting 18-seat beer and wine bar. Now, we are aligned with the vibrant dining establishments in NYC.

In our spacious and well-equipped kitchen, our dedicated team works tirelessly from the early hours of the morning to prepare everything from scratch. This includes our renowned Shawarma, a daily selection of soups, freshly ground in-house beef burgers, and much more.
As we progress in our journey, we aim to build upon our rich history and enhance our menu by offering innovative and delightful variations of traditional Jewish Mediterranean dishes.
