The dish is seasoned with garlic, ginger and sesame oil before being topped with green onions and cilantro. The addition of rice wine vinegar gives the dish the tinge of acidity that balances out the richness of the beef broth. This recipe makes 4 people or 12 servings as an appetizer or party snack.
Many different types of ramen noodles are popular in various cultures worldwide. The most popular type is probably Japanese ramen noodles made from wheat flour dough boiled in water until it becomes soft enough to eat.
It may seem strange to combine two different cuisines, but these noodles are amazing and will not disappoint!
This combination of Korean beef and Japanise Ramen noodles is a great way to eat healthy and enjoy the best of both worlds.
Instructions
(1) Whisk gochujang, green onions, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and sugar in a small bowl. Pour half of the mixture into a large ziplock bag. Add steak to bag, seal, and chill for 30 minutes.
(2) Drizzle oil into a large pan or skillet and bring to medium-high heat. Use tongs to transfer steak from bag to pan (keep marinade in the bag) and cook for 5-8 minutes on each side until well-browned on the outside. Transfer steak to a large cutting board and allow to rest while you move on to the next step.
(3) Add onions, mushrooms, ramen noodles, and beef marinade from the bag to the pan. Pour water over the top and bring to a simmer. Allow cooking for 5-7 minutes until noodles are tender and cooked through.
(4) Thinly slice steak across the grain. Add steak strips and reserved sauce to the pan and stir everything to combine. Cook for a few minutes until steak is hot throughout, garnish with green onions if desired, and serve immediately.
