OK Kosher Alet, Please Be Advised that Gold Nut Guava is infested; customer that has purchased the product should return it to the store
Still crave dried guava, fear not, you can easily dry it on your own
When selecting guava to dehydrate
choose fruit that is ripe or slightly overripe. After selecting the fruit, I cut it into slices and scooped the seeds. Cut the fruit into thicker pieces than you would for drying. Place the guava slices on dehydration trays. Follow your dehydrator’s manual for drying time, but if guava isn’t listed, dry it at 55-60 degrees Celsius. To get slices slightly softer and still a little moist in the middle, dry the fruit for 14 hours. It’ll store the dehydrated guava slices in an airtight container and keep them cool and dry.
How to Use Dehydrated Guava
You can use a dehydrator to make fruit leather from guava fruit. Fruit leather is a great snack that is easy to carry around. A homemade trail mix including dried guava, pineapple, coconut, and some tropical nuts like Macadamia and cashews will give your snacking enjoyment a tasty tropical flare. You get 100% fruit without adding salt or sugar when you buy organic dried guava. The calorie content in dried guava is lower than in most other fruits.
